About Me — The Story Behind CM3D
Hi, I’m Craig, the founder of CM3D, a UK product design and 3D printing business built around curiosity, creativity and practical problem-solving.
CM3D brings together my enthusiasm for making things and my involvement in wheelchair curling. Being part of the sport gives me a personal connection to the equipment we use—and the ideas that could make it better.
That’s where CM3D’s flagship wheelchair curling delivery heads come in. Their development brings together design, prototyping and feedback from players and coaches. I enjoy taking an idea, turning it into something you can hold, and refining the details through real use. The growing choice of colours adds another element I love: giving practical equipment a bit of personality.
CM3D is a small, independent business, and I’m the person behind the designs, the printer and the conversations. Listening to people is a big part of how I work. A question, a suggestion or a challenge can be the starting point for the next design.
Curling is at the heart of CM3D, but my ambitions reach further. I’m exploring ideas for sports equipment, useful accessories and creative products, using 3D printing and modern design tools to bring them to life.
The business is still growing, and every order, piece of feedback and word of encouragement helps shape what comes next.
Thank you for supporting CM3D and being part of the journey.
